Seven distinct navigation systems lead viewers through complex content ranging from doctor bios to patient-specific information. Lists of promotional badges are tagged to appear on pages with related content. Doctor information can be found on the home page (randomly chosen as featured), in a search window, and on pages dedicated to their area of practice. This information is edited in the CMS in one location, and the site uses the information three different ways.

Design Accuracy

Interactivity is layered on top of interactivity through the use of pop-up modal windows. The entire site is color-coded using backgrounds that are associated to specific areas of the site in the design templates. This site is a great example of how design can make information easier to use, and Dialogs handled every design challenge with ease.

SEO Toolbox

SEO is crucial - search engine optimization means money in the bank.

This site ranks high with numerous search results by utilizing the Dialogs data fields for meta data and page titles. The site also benefits from a large amount of content (over 6,000 pages) - all accessible to be indexed by search engines.

Social Networking

Successful sites capitalize on current social networking outlets.

The “For Patients” button in the header points to a patient forum, where patients and caregivers can share their experiences. This forum is moderated by Norman Regional staff. The site also connects site visitors with Norman Regional’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Websites can be fun to use and still be good for business.

A contemporary - and practical - user experience was a top priority for our agency partner. The end result is impressive. Small touches like the javascript navigation bar used in the “Our Services” section add polish. RSS feeds keep Norman Regional connected to their audience.

People like buying via ecommerce. Selling can be just as fun.

Site visitors can purchase balloons, stuffed animals, and flowers to be delivered to hospital rooms. Because the site owner is a non-profit organization, the site also accepts donations.

Multimedia, third-party health information integrated into the site creates over 6,000 articles of searchable content, making this site a life resource, not just a marketing brochure. Patients can access their account information online, simplifying business operations for all of the medical centers in the system.

This site has the electronic documentation of the development process permanently tied to the site in Capture. Standard documentation of database structure and description of the code base is available with all Dialogs licenses.
