Dialogs hosting requirements.

Dialogs can run in most LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) environments. The Dialogs installer detects subtle differences in hosting environments and makes many adjustments automatically. Additional adjustments by someone familiar with Linux and PHP may be necessary in some instances. We’ve tested in Ensim, Plesk, and C-Panel virtual setups. All accommodate Dialogs with varying adjustments. Dialogs is a state-of-the art, web 2.0 application that may not run effectively on servers at commodity web hosting providers.

Recommended environment:

  • CentOS Linux Operating System version 5 (other Linux distros work with path adjustments)
  • MySQL version 5
  • PHP version 5.2 (with FTP, CURL and GD support)
  • ftp access

Minimum environment:

  • Linux version Fedora 1 or later
  • MySQL version 4.1 or later
  • PHP version 5.1.2 or later with FTP support
